Kentucky lawn care tips

It’s almost time to begin lawn fertilization for the spring 2015 season. Early spring is the time to address crabgrass in KY. Many companies have formulas for crabgrass treatments. Fertilizer feeds to need for additional weed control. Applications can begin as earthy as march the ideal time to as late as April or May. 2 types of crabgrass exist in KY though both are treated the same way. This grass reproduces by seed rooting at the lower joints. Kentucky crabgrass starts to germinate in late April early May. It thrives in warm months and grows to maturity from July through September and dies in the Autumn season.
